A quick wing attack and centre court player, Hodge captained the Australian 21/U team before working her way into the open squad.

Her ability to feed the circle under pressure was a strength of her game and she was part of the gold medal-winning side at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

Hodge played every season of the Commonwealth Bank Trophy for three sides – Adelaide Thunderbirds, Queensland Firebirds and the Sydney Sandpipers.

She played more than 100 matches in that competition and was part of the Thunderbirds’ inauagural ANZ Championship squad in 2008 before announcing her retirement.
