Lauren Parkinson – ACL
Defender Lauren Parkinson suffered a severe knee injury at last year’s Suncorp Team Girls Cup, which ruled her out of the 2024 season. On the mend, the defender is expected to make her return in the coming rounds.
Eleanor Cardwell - Knee
Eleanor Cardwell has undergone further surgery on her left knee and is expected to miss part of the season.
Sasha Glasgow - Calf
Goaler Sasha Glasgow has been ruled out of this week's clash with the GIANTS after experiencing calf tightness late in last week's game against the Swifts. Due to her injury history the team has decided to take an extra-cautious approach with the split round giving her a few weeks to recover before the next game. Coming into the side is Mavs Reserve player Sacha McDonald who has been named as a temporary replacement player. The Mavericks have confirmed training partner Nyah Allen was unavailable for selection due to an injury flare up which prevented her from training.
Emily Mannix – Pregnancy
Mannix welcomed her first child earlier this year. She’s currently working with the Vixens on her return but for now Maggie Caris has been named as her temporary replacement.

Maddy Proud – Pregnancy
While not injured, Proud is expecting the arrival of her first child in May. Verity Simmons has joined the team for the season in Proud’s place.

Ava Black – ACL
Lightning’s Ava Black ruptured her ACL during the pre-season and as a result will miss the 2025 SSN season. In her place Lightning have signed Kristiana Manu’a as a permanent replacement player.

Jhaniele-Fowler Nembhard – Personal
Fowler-Nembhard is gradually working through a program with the club having expressed her desire to return to the court at some stage in 2025 when she is both physically and mentally ready to do so.
Mwai Kumwenda was named as a permanent replacement player for Fowler-Nembhard and will continue in her role as permanent replacement player.
