It was a memorable Test debut for Elizabeth White as it came in the first international match played in her home town Brisbane as part of a Tri-Series.
Her fitness allowed the athletic centre to outwork opponents and be a damaging player around the goal circle. White could also ready the play well.
Unfortunately a knee injury suffered on Australia’s 1982 tour of New Zealand impacted her career, limiting her time in the national team.
White has enjoyed an outstanding coaching career since her playing days ended. She was Queensland State coach for a decade and a specialist coach to Vicki Wilson with the Queensland Firebirds.
White was named Netball Queensland’s Coach of the Year three times and also served as a state selector.
She is a life member of Netball Queensland.
