A versatile midcourter, Shynn made her international debut on Australia’s tour of South Africa in 2004 and was a constant figure in the team for the next two years.
She was part of Australia’s silver medal winning side at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and was named the Australian Team Player of the Year that same season.
Shynn played for Perth Orioles in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy and was named centre in the Orioles’ `Magnificent Seven’, chosen from the best players to have represented the team over its 11-year history.
