Julie Corletto (nee Prendergast) was just 17 years old when named in the Australian squad for the first time.

She captained the Australian 21/U side to the 2005 Netball World Youth Cup and had to wait until 2007 before making her senior Test debut.

Injuries were a constant theme over her career, but Corletto is part of exclusive group of athletes to have played in three Netball World Cup title-winning sides – 2007 (Auckland), 2011 (Singapore) and 2015 (Sydney).

After two years out of the international arena, Corletto made a triumphant return in 2014 to help Australia win the gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

She retired from netball following the 2015 Netball World Cup final against New Zealand, where she famously played through the pain of a broken foot to help the Diamonds claim their third consecutive world title.
