A dynamic wing attack, Lauren Nourse was first named in the Australian squad in 2004 and had to wait until 2007 to make her Test debut.

Nourse was called into the Australian team as an injury replacement for Mo’onia Gerrard to face New Zealand in 2007.

Her performances in that series were enough to see Nourse retain her place in the Australian team for the 2007 Netball World Cup where she was part of the gold medal winning side.

Nourse spent nine years playing in the Commonwealth Bank trophy and ANZ Championship for the AIS Canberra Darters and Queensland Firebirds. She was named Firebirds captain in 2010 and held that role for three seasons before announcing her retirement.
