Lisa Beehag OAM packed a lot into her international career, which spanned a little over three years in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.
She was a last minute call-up to Australia’s 1987 Netball World Cup team to replace the injured Michelle den Dekker (nee Fielke). Beehag also played at the 1989 World Games in Germany and captained Australia on a tour of China in 1990.
Once her playing days ended, Beehag turned her attention to coaching starting at the Australian Institute of Sport and was an assistant coach with the Australian team for six years between 1997-2003.
After stints coaching overseas in Canada and Singapore, Beehag returned to Australia and coached the NSW Swifts for two seasons (2012-2013) in the ANZ Championship.
