As a junior athlete, Nicole Cusack excelled in many sports before deciding on netball as her preferred pathway.
She spent almost a decade as part of the Australian squad, making her debut in the 1989 Milo Series against New Zealand and played 52 Tests. Cusack was part of Australia’s triumphant 1995 Netball World Cup team and retired after winning the gold medal at the 1998 Commonwealth Games.
The nippy shooter was known to change the course of many games with her great turn of speed and play making skills.
She spent a season each playing with Sydney (1997) and the Melbourne Kestrels (1998) in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy. After her playing days ended, Cusack turned to coaching.
