The tenacious South Australian wing defender enjoyed a successful five-year stint in the Australian team after making her debut in 1999.
She was part of the Australian team that won the 1999 Netball World Cup and then added another gold medal to her collection at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
She played with the Adelaide Thunderbirds during the entire 11 seasons of the Commonwealth Bank Trophy, being part of their back-to-back premiership teams in 1998 and ’99, before retiring at the end of 2007.
After two years away from the top level, Scholz played for an invitational `World 7’ against New Zealand that led to her making a comeback in 2010 with the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic in the ANZ Championship.
She made 20 appearances for Magic over two seasons as their import player before retiring at the end of 2011.
