As a player, Roselee Jencke OAM was a dependable and skilled goal keeper in 43 Test appearances for Australia.
She captained the Australian 21/U team in 1984 before making her open debut in February the following year against New Zealand in her home town of Melbourne.
Jencke was a key player in Australia’s 1991 Netball World Cup triumph in Sydney, pulling off a match-saving intercept in the final minute to ensure a one-goal victory.
Jencke took over as coach of the Queensland Firebirds in 2010 and guided the team to ANZ Championship titles in 2011 – completing the season undefeated – and in 2015.
She has also been a selector, assistant coach and specialist coach with the Australian team.
