A feared and imposing defender, Ironmonger made her national debut on Australia’s tour of England in 1986.
Ironmonger was part of the Australian team that claimed a silver medal at the 1987 Netball World Cup in Glasgow.
Representing her country in her home city of Perth remains one of the proudest moments of Ironmonger’s career.
A long-standing West Australian representative, Ironmonger was part of the inaugural Perth Orioles squad in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy in 1997.
Despite playing just two seasons, Ironmonger was named in the Orioles’ `Magnificent Seven’, chosen from the best players to have represented the team over its 11-year history.
