The New South Wales product made her Test debut in the opening match of Australia’s 2005 tour of Jamaica.
Sarah Gorman (nee Barrett) was a member of the Australian 21/U squad between 1999 and 2002 and played 65 matches in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy for the Sydney Sandpipers and Sydney Swifts.
A pacey centre court player, Barrett was a member of the Swifts’ 2004 premiership side.
Her career looked over when she tore the hamstring off the bone in an accident in 2005.
Barrett made a remarkable comeback four years later to earn a place on the NSW Swifts’ list for the 2009 ANZ Championship season but had to withdraw from the team on the eve of the season.
