Standing at 196cm, Susan Fuhrmann was an intimidating opponent for shooters both domestically and around the world.
She made her international debut at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and was part of Australia’s triumphant 2011 Netball World Cup team. Fuhrmann rates playing a Test match in her home city of Perth late in 2011 in front of family and friends among the highlights of her netball career.
Fuhrmann played five seasons in the ANZ Championship for West Coast Fever before a chronic knee injury forced her into an early retirement at the age of 26 on the eve of the 2013 season.
