The Diamonds narrowly beat South Africa in their closest encounter yet, whilst England beat New Zealand in a thriller in extra time.
Next up, Australia face England, who have the home court advantage and will be buzzing after their seven-goal victory over the Ferns.
To combat the loud crowd, maintaining strong connections on court will be key for the Diamonds. Alexander isn't afraid to change up combinations, calling on the versatility of the team. These were seamless in game one and she will expect the same for the second outing.
Watch out for GIANTS Netball’s Serena Guthrie in centre for England. A vocal member of the English team, she recorded seven deflections and three intercepts against New Zealand, as well as 19 feeds into the circle.
Whoever wears the centre bib for Australia, whether that be Kim Ravaillion, Kate Moloney or Liz Watson, will need to provide strong leads in attack to combat Guthrie’s defensive style.

From the coach
"We need to remain diligent across the full 60 minutes. Our test against England could very well come down to the wire, as England did in their opener against New Zealand. Our preparation has been about executing the basics with absolute precision, and maintaining strong connections and communication across the court, no matter which combinations are in play.
"I expect absolute commitment from England. They have strong belief, they believe they can win. They showed this resolve against New Zealand in extra time. We are going to have to be ready for a really tight contest. We know that the stadium will be loud, and they will be cheering for our opposition, but we’ll focus on our connections and the green and gold."
