The Origin Australian Diamonds are officially heading to Cape Town having locked in a spot at the 2023 Netball World Cup.
World Netball released a new list of world rankings today where the Diamonds, once again, came out on top - no surprises after their gold medal performance in Birmingham.
Jamaica has moved up to third after claiming the silver at the Commonwealth Games, a historic moment for the nation, while England slipped to fourth.
Jamaica are now ranked third in the world after their incredible performance in Birmingham This means Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica and England have all been invited to compete.
Uganda, which is ranked sixth in the world, will also be invited given world number five South Africa automatically qualifies as host nation.
Other countries who will compete include Tonga and Fiji who were both successful at the Oceania qualifiers.
Tonga were particularly impressive having secured ninth place - their previous highest ranking was 19.
Tonga's success has pushed Scotland (tenth), Trinidad & Tobago (eleventh) and Northern Ireland (twelfth) back.
Tonga have been invited after success at the Oceania qualifiers. The final teams qualifying for the Netball World Cup 2023 will be decided by the remaining regional qualifiers taking place in Africa, Asia, Europe and Americas, with the top two teams from each event being invited.
The Netball World Cup will be held in Cape Town, South Africa from July 28 to August 6 next year.
