A tour squad of 14 athletes has been selected for January’s Netball Quad Series in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Origin Australian Diamonds will take on South Africa, England and New Zealand from January 22 – 26, 2023.
Diamonds midcourter Ash Brazill returns to international duties after missing the Constellation Cup and England Series.
Brazill joins captain Liz Watson, Paige Hadley, Jamie-Lee Price and Kate Moloney in the midcourt.
The goalers include Kiera Austin, Sophie Dwyer, Sophie Garbin, Cara Koenen and Stephanie Wood.
Goaler Gretel Bueta has not put her hand up for selection for the series but remains a part of Diamonds 2022/23 squad.
Defenders Sunday Aryang, Courtney Bruce, Sarah Klau and Joanna Weston round out the tour squad of 14.
The tour squad was selected by Origin Australian Diamonds head coach Stacey Marinkovich and national selectors Anne Sargeant OAM and Michelle Wilkins.
“The Netball Quad Series is key for our build up to the 2023 Netball World Cup, to be played in Cape Town,” said Marinkovich.
“Our focus for the series will be improving connections and the standard of performance, while gaining a better understanding of our opposition.”
