The Diamonds squad will gather at the Netball Centre of Excellence for a Commonwealth Games Simulation Camp, before the 14 selected Quad Series athletes travel to England.
It will be Geitz’s first time in the Diamonds environment since a squad camp in May 2016, after taking maternity leave for the birth of her first child Barney, born in February 2017.
The defender has 64 test caps and captained the Diamonds to Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014 and Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015 gold.
Head Coach Lisa Alexander said, “Laura has been training well during the Queensland Firebirds pre-season. This provides an opportunity for her to return to the Diamonds environment and test herself in our match conditions.
“This camp will play a part in our selection of the Commonwealth Games team, so it was important for us to see Laura in action.”
The January edition of the Netball Quad Series will be held in London and Johannesburg, with selection of the Australian Commonwealth Games Netball Team to take place after the tour.
The opening test will be held at the Copper Box, London on Saturday 20 January (Sunday 21 January AEDT), with a double header between Australia and South Africa, followed by England and New Zealand.
The Netball Quad Series is the final test series for the Samsung Diamonds before the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
