Ravaillion made her Diamonds debut on 20 January 2013, as the only player to make an international debut before even playing a national league game. Since then, Ravaillion has developed her game as a tenacious centre, a common fixture in the Diamonds starting seven line up.
The centre is one of the most experienced athletes in the current Netball Quad Series team.
She holds a Commonwealth Games and Netball World Cup gold medal and is widely respected by her teammates and opponents alike.
We spoke to teammate and Diamonds vice-captain Gabi Simpson about playing with her, from under 21s, to the Queensland Firebirds and Samsung Diamonds.
“Playing with Rav for the past eight years has made me physically and mentally a stronger player,” Simpson said.
“Her work ethic is second to none and she demands the same standards from all those around her. She is reliable and one of the most consistent players I've seen, her hard work on court making those around her shine.”
Simpson continued, saying,” she is fun, she is competitive (in all aspects of life), and she is kind, but most importantly she always has your back.
“You know when you are standing arm-in-arm with her on the transverse line that she will do whatever it takes to get the team across the line.”
